Communications 8 is now studying Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse. Students often have problems engaging with the novel itself, I've been told, so I'm experimenting with ways to engage students.

HELLO, AGAIN!
It's been quite some time since I've reflected in my blog. It's about time, so here I go.
- Every day as a teacher I encounter something that provides an opportunity for growth.
- Middle school students encompass a wide range of maturity levels - sometimes they need to be indulged.
- Teachers engage students on multiple levels without being consciously aware of it.
- Teachers are missionaries sent into the classroom to promote education, critical thinking and citizenship.
- To teach is to dance a fine line between leading and letting go.
